60 RANDOM TEXTURES
- MF (rar) | MF (zip) | DA (zip)
Here is a new textures pack, with very different types of textures. It’s the biggest one I’ve ever made and it doesn’t only have a lot of textures but it’s really heavy, so it’ll take a while to download. Hope you like and use them, and please, if you download the pack, like (or reblog) this post, thank you very much. Enjoy them!
100 HARRY POTTER INSPIRED TEXTURES
-Part 1: MF | DA -Part 2: MF | DA
I just reached the next thousand (3,000) followers in this blog, and I wanted to express my thank you in a different way this time. All my words will never be enough to express the love I have for all of you, but I hope this help you understand how much it means to me that you are following me. So this is for all of you, in an attempt to say “thank you”. Hope you like it.
And now time to explain what is this about. I made you a huge textures pack, split in two parts. The first part is “a bit of everything”, there are all types of textures, some of them are scans from my Harry Potter books, others are from screencaptures of the movies and one of them are sketchs made by me. The second part is… remember some weeks ago I asked all of you to send me your favourite hp quote? Here they are! I called it the text part, that includes all your quotes plus some of my favourites (some of them handwritten by me) and some scans of the books.
Now, use them well, make a lot of hp graphics and let the magic of photoshop begin! Also, please, if you download the pack, like (or reblog) this post, thank you very much.
HOLA! ( ̄▽ ̄)ノ this is nan and i’m here to teach you how to
dougiemake the spinning effect! an anon requested this tutorial and i hope he sees it! the effect itself is very very very easy to make, you’ll see! anyways, let’s go! you’ll need: 1) extracted pictures (pictures without their background) — if you don’t know how to do it, i have a tutorial for it —; 2) and know how to make gifs — you’ll find everything you need in the tutorial i linked you. ok, first step is to place your pictures where you want them to stay and make sure they’re proportional (click!); duplicate them until you have three layers of the same picture (click!); now we’ll reduce the width of two of them: press ctrl+t (or go to the transformation option: edit > transformation) and here put 75% in the first and 45% in the second (then you’ll press ctrl+t again and flip it horizontally). they must look like this. now we’ll make the gifs! we’ll need 4 frames for each picture you’ll be using: it starts with the 75% picture, then goes to the normal picture, then goes back to the 75% and after for the flipped one. didn’t understand? click here! usually my time setting is: 0,5s for the normal picture and 0,07s for the rest. you’ll make the same process in the other pictures you’re using. that’s it! hope you get it~ if you didn’t, come in my ask box and ask me for a better explanationeven though i don’t know how i can explain it in a better way. see you guys later! ヽ(゜∇゜)ノ

^ You are going to need the above template pieces for this tutorial, so I suggest saving these to your computer now before you start.

^ STEP 001 - Open your video clip in Photoshop CS5.

^ STEP 002 - Prepare your clip for GIF’ing and add to it any enhancements such as lighting, colour, patterns, etc. (If you’re interested to know, I have used Brightness/Contrast, Hue/Saturation and messed with the Levels a tad.)

^ STEP 003 - Choose the selection of the clip you wish to use in your GIF and then Render (File > Export > Render Video) it. (I didn’t change any of the settings on the Render window this time, but if you know what you’re doing you can if you want to. Sometimes can help to reduce the file-size considerably.)

^ STEP 004 - Import (File > Import > Video Frames to Layers…) your clip that you just made. When the window pops-up after you’ve selected and opened your file, you want to make sure the Limit to Every…Frames option is checked. The default is 2 but I have changed mine to 4. Press OK.

^ STEP 005 - Open the template pieces now. Take the first piece (whichever you want to use first is up to you, but I’m going with the purple because it starts off with a bigger section first), Select the whole piece (Select > All) and Copy Merged (Edit > Copy Merged).

^ STEP 006 - Then back to your imported clip, Resize (Image > Image Size…) it to a 500px.

^ STEP 007 - When you’ve done that, making sure in your Animation tab that the first frame is selected, and you’ve a New blank layer in your Layers palette beneath all the layers, then Paste (Edit > Paste).

^ STEP 008 - Select all layers above the template piece, and switch to Timeline mode in the Animation tab.

^ STEP 009 - Create a Clipping Mask (Layer > Create Clipping Mask) which will cut out the shape of the template beneath into your clip layers. Move and adjust your clip layers (make sure that they are all still selected) to your liking, Crop to fit the template (Height is 150px), and then switch out of Timeline mode. (I’m watching Queer as Folk as I put this together, so as I make these screenies you’ll probably see that in the corner from now on because I am too lazy to minimize it and/or I forget to. xD)

^ STEP 010 - Set your GIF’s speed and then Render (File > Export > Render Video) what you have up to this point, and then Open this new clip.
- STEP 011 - Open your second clip and Repeat Steps 1 through 3.

^ STEP 012 & 13 - Open the second template piece (I used the purple) and paste it in a new layer. Then Open the second video clip you just made in Step 11 and arrange the layers so it’s atop all the layers, the template piece is in the middle and the first video clip is at the bottom.

^ STEP 014 - Make sure the top layer is selected (Clip #2) and create another Clipping Mask (Layer > Create Clipping Mask).

^ STEP 015 - Move your second clip layer (the top layer) into position in the right-hand corner (and fill any spaces on the chance that your clip doesn’t fit exactly, in a new layer underneath with the paintbrush tool).
- STEP 016 - Repeat Step 10.
- STEP 017 - Repeat Step 4 with the final rendered clip.

^ STEP 018 - Open the first template piece again, copy and paste it below all the layers of the imported final clip. Select all layers above the template piece, switch to Timeline mode and create another Clipping Mask. You should have the above result.
- STEP 019 - Switch out of Timeline mode again and check your frame speed. Set your GIF to Forever, and finally Save your GIF for web (File > Save for Web & Devices…)

^ STEP 020 - Finito!! :-)
Hope this is understandable for you guys. It’s 3AM where I am now, I am exhausted, but I wanted to finish this before I hit the sack. If there are mistakes I’ll deal w/ them in the morning. G’night. *collapses*
